Breaking Through the Comfort Zone - Noel @ Cozy Syndrome
Noel is the drummer of Cozy Syndrome, a Hong Kong-based all-female band known for their Japanese rock-inspired music. The band members include lead vocalist Asana, guitarists Forky and Gillian, bassist Sarah, and drummer Noel. Their ethos is ”to not stay in the comfort zone, but to seek impact in life and music.“ Initially, Cozy Syndrome focused on covering Japanese anime and pop songs. On August 10, 2022, they released their first original Cantonese song, ”沒遺憾放任,“ officially entering the Hong Kong music scene.
In 2023, Noel broke through her own comfort zone by participating in ViuTV‘s drumming competition show, ” Battle of the Throne 2.“ She stood out among 12 contestants and emerged as the champion. In 2024, Noel continued to explore and try her hand at different types of music creation. She was even invited by various Hong Kong artists to perform as a session musician, including JC Chan Wing-tung and the band Absolute Youth.
The band continues to create new music and is set to host their album release party for ”Cozy Syndrome“ this July, taking another step beyond their comfort zone and continuing to move forward.
衝破舒適圈的女子樂隊鼓手 - Noel @ Cozy Syndrome
Noel 是香港女子樂隊 Cozy Syndrome 的鼓手。樂隊以日本搖滾風格為主，成員包括主音 Asana、結他手 Forky和 Gillian、貝斯手 Sarah 及鼓手 Noel。樂隊的信念是「不想停滯於舒適狀態，尋求生活和音樂上的衝擊」。Cozy Syndrome 成立初期以翻唱日本動漫或流行歌曲為主，於2022年8月10日發佈首支原創粵語歌曲《沒遺憾放任》正式加入香港樂壇。
Noel 在2023年，也衝破自己的舒適狀態，參加了 ViuTV 的打鼓比賽節目《擊戰 2》，在12位參賽者中突圍而出並贏得冠軍。隨後在2024年，Noel 不斷逐步摸索，參與不同類型的音樂創作，更獲得不同香港歌手的邀請擔任演出樂手，包括JC陳詠桐，組合絕命青年等。
同時在樂隊亦持續進行創作，並將於今年7月舉辦《舒適症候群 Cozy Syndrome》專輯發佈會，踏出另一個舒適圈不斷前行。
